The event aims to nurture Indonesian game industry talents by providing a golden opportunity for students to compete, learn, and showcase their game creations.

The competition starts with the Game Jam phase, where 40 teams will compete to develop game demos within one week, starting from July 12 to July 21, 2024. Subsequent selections will choose the top 20 teams to proceed to an intensive training phase.

Acting Head of the Center for Professional Development and Certification at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics Anny Triana, said, “In the TSA Game Fest program, students will receive training and guidance related to game development, including practical experience in game competitions. The outcomes of this training can be converted into credit hours, serving as replacements for specific courses. Therefore, students wishing to participate must obtain a Letter of Recommendation from their respective universities following the provided format.”

Participants who pass the initial round will undergo hands-on training with experienced mentors in Programming, Game Design, Art, and Product Management, scheduled for August 2024. The exhibition will be the highlight, where the top 10 teams will showcase their work in Bandung on September 28-29, 2024.
