Technical Artist

Responsibilities Create and customize shader, post-process, or rendering pipeline to achieve the product’s art direction needs. Create and customize in-engine animation rigs/simulations, animation states and behaviors, and physics materials to achieve the product’s art direction needs. Develop tools to help author and manage high quality and quantity of art assets. Help optimize art assets and visual features. Conduct technical checks to ensure the developed assets meet the technical budget and adhere to the established pipeline requirements. Assist in setting up pipelines, developing tools to support them, and creating or coordinating documentation for these pipelines and tools. Be a jack of all trades when necessary to positively impact the art team’s output and productivity. Collaborate with fellow artists, team leads, and tech and design teams to integrate the team’s visual vision into the final playable product. Requirements Proficiency in 3D Digital Content Creation software (Blender, Zbrush, Maya, 3DSmax, etc.). You need to adapt to Blender for the production pipeline in Agate. Excellent knowledge of 2D Digital Content Creation software (Photoshop, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, etc.) Experience porting video game projects to mobile platforms (Android/iOS) or console platforms (Switch/XBOX/PlayStation). Experience with character rigging for animation. Familiar with shader languages (HLSL, GLSL) and shader editors (shader graph/ASE/Shaderforge for Unity and UE4 Material Editor). Proven track record of both artistic and technical creativity with a passion for solving problems. Strong understanding of performance and optimization in video games. A proactive communicator, willing to give and receive constructive feedback. 3+ years of professional experience in game development as Tech Art, Artist, or Programmer with at least one shipped title (excluding academic projects, please include them in your portfolio: Play Store, App Store, Steam, etc.) Pluses Solid knowledge of mobile and console tech art techniques and fundamental art principles. 3D Artist

Responsibilities Create game-ready 3D models and their textures. Create basic 3D Animation. Effectively collaborate with fellow artists, team leads, tech, and design teams to produce 3D assets and integrate them into the final playable product. Deliver work on time and according to schedule. Accept and provide direction to team members and participate and engage with the entire production team to stay current on the scope and understanding of the project. Multitask effectively; prioritize competing demands and follow through on details. Requirements First-hand knowledge and practical experience with 3D Digital Content Creation software (Blender, Zbrush, Maya, 3DSmax, etc.). You need to adapt to Blender for the production pipeline in Agate. Able to create good quality characters and props 3D models optimized for game development. Able to create good quality textures using software like Substance Painter/Photoshop or Substance Designer. Understanding the basics of principal Animation. Game Producer

Requirements Minimum two years of project management experience in the game or tech industry. Having project management certification (PMP, PSM, or other relevant certifications) is a big plus. Strong knowledge of game or software development life cycle. Ability to delegate tasks effectively, provide clear direction, and foster a collaborative team environment. Familiar with project management tools such as Notion, Miro, Git, and/or Figma. Excellent communication and coordination capabilities in English and Bahasa Indonesia to communicate with internal teams and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. Experience in managing client expectations, gathering requirements, and providing regular project updates. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Passionate about the Game Industry. Game Designer Gamification

Responsibilities Planning, thinking, and designing game systems/controls/interfaces/narrative/level/mechanics that align with design pillars to delight the users. Working collaboratively with fellow designers and development team members to concept and deliver the intended experience. Communicating design decisions to relevant stakeholders. Requirements First and foremost, you are a designer. You must understand the end-users and business context to develop suitable solutions. You know when to make a quick and dirty prototype and when to make a polished one. You also have to gather users’ feedback and know how to use it to improve your design. At least three years of working experience as a game designer. Your portfolio should include at least 2-3 games. Experience developing casual games will be preferred. Relevant portfolio. Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered. Have a good understanding and can devise plans for a game’s monetization and in-game economy. Please show this in your portfolio. Possess excellent critical and design thinking. Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Able to lead fellow designers and/or the team to realize the vision of the design. 2D Artist

As a 2D generalist Artist, you will be involved in everything from visualizing the game concepts to creating the final 2D art assets that will be used in the game. Responsibilities Create concept art and game-ready 2D Assets (illustration, UI elements, 2D Animation, and 2D visual effects). Collaborate with fellow artists to create 2D assets for our game’s character, environment, and props. Work closely with team leaders & directors to take creative direction and reinforce the execution of our game’s visual design. Deliver work on time and according to schedule. Accept and provide direction to team members and participate and engage with the entire production team to stay current on the scope and understanding of the project. Multitask effectively, prioritize competing demands and follow through on details. Requirements A portfolio that demonstrates excellent artistic sensibilities and the ability for a range of styles. Strong understanding of lighting, composition, color theory, atmosphere, materials, and textures. Proficiency in 2D raster and vector Digital Content Creation software (Agate will provide Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator licenses). Understand the principles of 2D Animation and 2D bone-base animation software. Able to work within an established art style and deliver clear and concise production art. Ability to quickly iterate on ideas and take an asset to the final illustration state. Exemplary oral and written communication skills and the ability to follow directions and collaborate successfully. A positive outlook with the ability to self-direct and have an artistic vision, combined with a dedicated work ethic. Traditional art skills with an exceptional understanding of the human anatomy, perspective, and life drawing are a plus. Experience in creating original and imaginative concept art for characters, the world, and other assets that will inspire the team and help set our games’ tone, look, and feel are a plus.
