3D Artist

Responsibilities Create 3D game-ready assets effectively and efficiently: work on a High-Poly model, a Low-Poly model, a UV map, and a Texture set. Owns a 3D modeling pipeline from start to finish and becomes a PIC of one or more assets in the pipeline. Deliver work on time and according to schedule. Digest direction, participate, and engage with another team member to stay current on the scope and understanding of the project. Multitask effectively, prioritize competing demands, and follow through on details. Requirements Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 3D modeling for the characters, their equipment, props, etc. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Blender, ZBrush, Maya, 3ds Max, etc.).You need to adapt to ZBrush and Blender for the production pipeline in Agate. Proficiency in 3D texturing software (Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag). Able to digest, break down, and own 3D model execution based on concept art and lead/chief/director’s direction. A proactive communicator, willing to give and receive constructive feedback. Understanding of game development pipeline. 4+ years of professional experience in the game development/animation/VFX industry as a 3D Artist with at least one shipped title (excluding academic projects). Pluses Strong understanding of shaders and materials. Knowledge of scripting for automating tasks (e.g., Python) and ability to create procedural material using Substance Designer. Experience in developing high-quality stylized 3D art. Proficiency in integrating 3D assets into game engines like Unity & Unreal. Lead 3D Artist

Responsibilities Lead the 3D art team, ensuring we delivered high-quality assets that met the stakeholders’ requirements and the studio’s standards. Collaborate with the Project Manager and Art Director to define the project’s scope and goals, as well as the resources required to deliver it. Work on and share 3D modeling & texturing workload with the 3D art team and monitor their progress to ensure work is of a high standard and deadlines are met. Providing feedback and guidance to 3D artists to improve the quality of their work and develop their skills. Identifying potential issues and risks early in the project lifecycle and taking steps to mitigate them. Ensuring that 3D assets are optimized and meet technical specifications, such as file size and polygon count. Keeping up-to-date with new techniques and technologies in the 3D industry and actively share this knowledge with the team. Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, and addressing any technical concerns or questions they may have. Requirements 3+ years of professional experience in the game development industry as a Senior, Lead, or higher-grade artist role in the game industry. Excellent leadership skills and ability to provide team members with clear direction, guidance, and feedback. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in 3D stylized game-ready art assets. Expert knowledge & practical experience in Blender and Substance Painter. The ability to operate Maya and 3Ds Max is a bonus. Strong technical art basics flawlessly interact with game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity. Deep understanding of 3D asset optimization techniques and best practices for game development. Passion for games and the drive to stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations. Pluses: Experience with procedural content creation tools, such as Blender Geometry Node, Houdini, and Substance Designer. An active interest in the game development community, including attending events and participating in forums or online communities.
