Game Designer Intern

Responsibilities Define design problem statement based on interaction with product manager and/or users. Research and concept the solution to answer the problem statement (could be a new feature, experience, etc.) Communicate your design to other roles using suitable media: writing, sketching, wireframe, etc. Work with other development roles (programmers, artists) to turn the concepts into reality. Add contents inside the product as required. Perform game balancing. Requirements Highly interested in the game industry, proven by relevant experience such as creating their own game, learning about game design, or staying up-to-date with the industry trends. Highly interested in human-centered design. Able to self-lead and collaborate effectively with other development roles. Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written. Confident in one’s ability to make design decisions while also considering feedback. Able to use relevant prototyping tools (such as game engine, Figma, etc) is a plus. Own digital products and/or game portfolio. Candidates without portfolios will not be considered. The internship period lasts for a minimum of 3 months. Able to work full-time (Monday – Friday). Game Designer Gamification

Responsibilities Planning, thinking, and designing game systems/controls/interfaces/narrative/level/mechanics that align with design pillars to delight the users. Working collaboratively with fellow designers and development team members to concept and deliver the intended experience. Communicating design decisions to relevant stakeholders. Requirements First and foremost, you are a designer. You must understand the end-users and business context to develop suitable solutions. You know when to make a quick and dirty prototype and when to make a polished one. You also have to gather users’ feedback and know how to use it to improve your design. At least three years of working experience as a game designer. Your portfolio should include at least 2-3 games. Experience developing casual games will be preferred. Relevant portfolio. Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered. Have a good understanding and can devise plans for a game’s monetization and in-game economy. Please show this in your portfolio. Possess excellent critical and design thinking. Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Able to lead fellow designers and/or the team to realize the vision of the design. The ability to use relevant game engines and tools to prototype will be preferred. Pluses Possess design leadership experience. Able to communicate fluently in English, both oral and written. Game Designer FSKU

Responsibilities Tune and balance content you’re developing; extend those systems to realize new visions for gameplay and improve player experience. Gather, acknowledge, and respond to internal feedback, adjusting design choices as necessary. Ensure all your content is well-organized and easily updated by other team members. Work on multi-disciplinary teams to conceptualize and build exceptional game content. Able to validate the design contribution of a small project or feature in a medium-large scale project. Able to not only concept and implement but also prove it works or adds value to the product (e.g., through deconstruction, data, user test, buy-in, etc.) Requirements Three years or more experience with game design. Strong game design fundamentals, understanding of core player experiences, and ability to make good design decisions. Have at least 2-3 games as portfolio with playable content or prototypes that demonstrate strong game design skills. Familiar with Unreal Engine for gameplay prototyping, including level design and user experience principles. Absolute passion for playing and making games. Fluent in many prevalent game genres and mechanics. Creatively, analytically, and organizationally skilled with proven ability to write, communicate, and maintain detailed design documentation throughout the game life cycle. Conduct deep research, communicate effectively, collaborate within teams, solve problems, adapt to project needs, and show a desire for growth and self-development. Open to feedback or input and enjoys working in an iterative and agile process. Able to analyze and interpret data to fit design objectives. Ability to interpret player and peer feedback and turn it into in-game solutions.
