It is widely used in film, TV, games, and visual effects industries. Maya uses Maya Embedded Language (MEL) for customization and scripting, which is a proprietary language that is specific to Maya. Maya has more advanced features and options for rendering, rigging, simulation, dynamics, and motion graphics than Blender.
