Be a part of our team specializing in game quality and localization testing as a Language Tester Intern – Simplified Chinese (zh-CN). We’re looking for individuals with meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and a passion for games to help ensure our titles deliver a high-quality player experience in every supported language.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing to ensure translated in-game text, UI, subtitles, prompts, and system messages are correctly implemented in Simplified Chinese.
- Verify text readability, spacing, clipping, overlap, truncation, font rendering, placeholder handling, and general localization quality.
- Identify, record, and track bugs such as wrong-context text, mixed-language issues, display issues, and linguistic inconsistencies.
- Document test execution and results in a structured and systematic manner.
- Coordinate with the QA team, production team, and development team for issue clarification and validation of fixes.
- Verify that Chinese terminology, register, and player-facing wording are appropriate for the target market.
Requirements
- No game testing experience needed
- Good English reading and writing skills. Speaking skills are a plus
- Must be able to read and understand Simplified Chinese at HSK 5 or equivalent Simplified Chinese proficiency or higher (certification proof must be included in CV/portfolio)
- Strong sensitivity to Simplified Chinese UI wording, subtitle readability, and context-driven dialogue usage
- Proficient in documentation, ensuring comprehensive and accurate reporting of testing processes and results
- Strong passion for gaming and excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with game platforms and game genres
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work on-site at Agate HQ in Summarecon Bandung
