Responsibilities
- Create game-ready stylized anime 3D environment models and textures, including props, architecture, terrain, vegetation, and other environmental assets.
- Translate concepts and visual references into appealing 3D assets while maintaining consistent shape language, proportions, silhouettes, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Create optimized topology, UVs, materials, and textures suitable for real-time game development and the project’s technical requirements.
- Develop reusable and modular assets that can be efficiently assembled into cohesive, playable environments.
- Collaborate effectively with artists, team leads, technical artists, designers, and other production teams to develop and integrate environment assets into the final playable product.
- Deliver work on time according to the production schedule while effectively managing multiple tasks, priorities, feedback, and iterations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a 3D Artist in the game development industry.
- Have a strong portfolio showcasing 3D environment art skills.
- Practical experience with 3D Digital Content Creation software such as Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, or equivalent. You need to adapt to Blender for production pipeline in Agate.
- Able to create high-quality stylized texture and model based on the given concept.
- Strong understanding of game-ready environment modeling, including topology, UVs, modular construction, tilable and trimsheet texture creations and usage, optimization, and other real-time asset requirements.
- Able to create stylized textures and materials using Substance Painter, Photoshop, Substance Designer, or equivalent, with strong control of color, value, material definition, and surface detail.
- Proactive communicator who can give and receive constructive feedback and collaborate effectively with artists, leads, tech, and design teams throughout production.
- Willing to work in Agate Office.
Pluses
- Strong understanding and experience in stylized anime environment art, including shape simplification, visual consistency, composition, and environmental storytelling.
- Proficiency in creating modular environment kits, reusable materials, tileable textures, trim sheets, and other efficient environment workflows.
- Full understanding of game art pipelines and real-time optimization, with experience integrating and assembling environments in Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar game engines.
