A major update will also bring a dynamic difficulty system on April 29
Indonesia, April 28, 2022 – The simulation RPG Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 has won two Writers’ Choice Awards from Marooners’ Rock at PAX East 2022. The game was available to try as part of the publisher PQube’s booth at the event, which was held on April 21-24 at Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
The honor was awarded by the media and news company Marooners’ Rock. Each writer was given a set number of personal awards to give out to their favorite games at the entire show floor, which had more than 50 exhibitors.
Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 was launched on Steam Early Access on March 31, 2022. PAX East marked the first time the game appeared at an offline event. Visitors could try out the game for themselves at PQube’s booth at Booth 11032, alongside other games from the publisher.
Harbowoputra, Lead Writer of Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2, shared a statement, “The narrative team sends our gratitude for the award. We will keep releasing additional students with their own unique storylines, so keep playing and enroll them all!”
The game will get a major update tomorrow on Friday, April 29. The main highlight of the update is the World Threat System, which will bring dynamic difficulty to the game’s dungeons.
Players can enjoy more difficult battles and reap greater rewards on higher difficulties, which can come either naturally by the time passing or by making certain choices in Decision events. Likewise, the difficulty can be lowered through in-game tasks and choices.
More updates are to come as the developers (Indonesia-based Agate) continue to improve the game by listening to the community feedback throughout the Early Access period.
