Chief Marketing Officer

Our rapidly growing game company needs an analytical and innovative Chief Marketing Officer to join our executive team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO is responsible to oversee the planning, development and execution of all the company marketing initiatives. The CMO’s responsibilities usually traverse all geographic regions as well as company product lines.
Primary responsibility is to ensure the company’s marketing effort outperform competition, resulting growth of revenue through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, pricing technique, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, public relations and any other initiatives necessary.
An excellent CMO is passionate for their profession and have a massive knowledge for all things marketing. He/She can balance a practical mindset with creative business acumen and lead the team through complex marketing operations. In a particular day, the CMO may perform tasks of different categories including analytical (such as market research and pricing), interpersonal (such as harmonizing different ways of thinking in one team) and creative (such as designing promotions and advertising material).


  • Marketing Strategy: Oversee overall organization marketing strategy
  1. Responsible for developing marketing strategy to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives, including but not limited to develop market intelligence, segmentation, lead generation, sales force effectiveness, revenue retention and growth, communications and budgets, pricing, product and market development, prospecting, revenue retention and development, communications and budgets, and services units
  2. Support other division/department marketing strategy development
  3. Oversee the marketing strategy day-to-day implementation
  • Marketing Operations
  1. Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
  2. Liaise with other departments to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution etc. that meets market demands
  3. Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals
  4. Facilitate sales and growth
  5. Execute and manage marketing budget
  • Market Intelligence
  1. “Listen” to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts the company
  2. Redirect or alter business intelligence strategy
  3. Create and measure focal metrics around the business such as conversion rates, user acquisition, satisfaction and renewal rates and engagement rates
  • Promotional Initiatives
  1. Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press etc.)
  2. Ensures the organization’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives. This means seeking out new ways to deliver messaging, such as mobile platforms, video and social media.
  • Product Development
  1. Oversee product roadmap and creation of new products
  2. Find product/market fit for each products
  3. Create strategic messaging and generate initial demands
  4. Build customer lifecycle blueprint for the company
  • Promotional & Distribution Channel Management
  1. Focus on building strong demand and/or promotional channels
  2. Building product distribution channels across home country (Indonesia)
  • Business Development
  1. Explore opportunities of inorganic growth
  2. Create a solid network of strategic partnerships


  • Have approximately 5-10 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in position of increasing responsibility with a focus on marketing expansion as well as three to five years of experience in a leadership role
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field (MSc/MA will be a plus)
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
  • Must be both analytical and creative, and possess extensive knowledge in variety of disciplines such as production, information technology, legal and finance
  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods plus the tools available in the market
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Required languages : English (another language proficiency will be a plus)
  • Available for full time position
